If you’re ready to start officiating, need access to take on-track photography, or want to help out behind the scenes at events, you’ll need a Speedway Australia licence.
If you haven’t previously held a Speedway Australia licence, select “First Time Marshal Licence”. If you are renewing your existing licence, select “Renew Marshal Licence”. If you wish to step up from Driver or Marshal and become a Steward or Scrutineer, you’ll need to apply for an Officials Card.
First Time Marshal Licence
For new officials applying for their first annual Speedway Australia licence. This licence covers Scruitneers, Stewards, Marshals and Media.-

Before you're licensed, have you...
- Completed a Health Statement in full (section 8)? NOTE: Required by all applicants.
- Provided a passport sized photo (NO hats or sunglasses) if required? (New photo required every 5 years).
- New Licence Holders: Attached a clearly legible proof of age document (birth certificate, drivers licence, passport, proof of age card or student ID).
Medical Examinations
All applicants (including marshals and mechanics) must submit a health statement.
For drivers UNDER 60 years of age, a medical examination is required every 2 years.
For drivers 60 years of age and over, a medical examination is required annually.
In all cases, the medical examination must be completed no more than 3 months prior to the date of application.
Please note, SCCA and Wingless Sprint drivers are required to supply a new medical examination every year regardless of age, as per the SCCA rule book.
