Speedway Australia are proud to host a national training program for Official’s accreditation. In conjunction with divisional bodies, we’ve set a national standard of knowledge and skill sets required for Stewards and Scrutineers across every class of racing.
This interactive online programme covers all aspects of Speedway Officiating; including the fundamentals of being an official, health and safety, Speedway racing rules, and on-track scenarios.
The program allows for self-paced learning on your PC, mobile, or tablet from the comfort of your own home.

Apply for your
first time licence
Whether you’re a Steward, Scrutineer, Marshal, or Media, you’ll need to a hold a General Licence in order to be allowed access to the pits and the track. For marshalling and media roles, this level of licensing will cover you. However to become a Steward or Scrutineer you will need to also hold an Officials Card (step 4).

Study the
rulebook
Make sure you understand the rules, safety requirements, and how events are run. Reading the rulebook will help you perform your roll with confidence.

Complete your
training
It’s time to complete your training! Sign up and participate in our official training course.

Apply for
your officials card
In order to take the next step and become a Steward or Scruitineer, you’ll need to undertake and complete our Officials Training. Once successful, you will hold an Officials Card and be ready to hit the track!
